Behind the beautiful masks; the hidden pains

 She gets haunted by her past,
She tries to hide, but the pain always lasts
Her make-up and the charm that she ignites
Is only a camouflage for what she goes through at night


He sings and dances in church
He also plays the instrument so much
Oh, how he hurts when no one looks
How his worries are hidden by his good looks
Little do we know that he is on the hook

I know a friend who wants to help
He puts our worries and fears in a shelf
He takes them away forever
If we can only rely on His love so tender
Of our past and pain we can get rid
From our fears and worries, He’ll be a lid
Receiving Him is a decision for us
Believing Him is the action for us
His name is JESUS

Of late I've been thinking about a lot of things, mainly on what is really important in life. As a young lady I've known quite a few people that have passed on from this side of eternity, and it has made me wonder if life is worth it!! Why do we run around and hustle really hard for money when it can't buy us life when we need it? why do we spend our money on fancy clothes, shoes, cars, jewelries and perfumes if those things don't give us true relationships? Why do the people we love betray our trust? why does love hurt sometimes? why is life not as smooth as fairy tales and movies sometimes portray? why do those who really want stuff never get them, yet those who have them don't value what they have? why is there always a need for more?
