Last day of spring break 2012, I have wasted my break and now I'm left with so much work to do. Whether I get them done tonight or not is another days story. The reason I'm blogging at this point is that I've been doing a lot of thinking.
Thinking about life, and its purpose. Thinking about friends and how they disappoint us. Thinking about why the people whom we give our time and energy to are not there for us when we need them. I'm thinking about living by design. Living the kind of life that God has called us to live.
My pastor has taught us over the last three weeks what it means to live by God's design.
He started by teaching us that our lives are a joint venture between God's purpose and the decisions we take. God has created us and given us the power of choices, and what we do determines our outcome in life.
He went further and told us about the power of imagination, and proved to us that we can do whatever we put our minds to via the power of imagination.
Finally, we learned about the power of intentions. My eyes were opened to the fact that improvement is not natural. Even in science, we are told that things move towards disorderliness, and in order to make things orderly, work has to be done. In the same vein, our decisions and choices should be done intentionally. This has been in my head all day, and I'm working and praying that God will give me the grace to live my life by design.
Okay, so why am I blogging right now? I don't know, probably because I love to write. And by the way, did I tell you that my mum is turning 50 in few days? I have mixed feelings about it, I'm excited because God has given me the privilege of knowing this awesome woman. However, I'm sad because I will not be in Nigeria to celebrate it with her.
Anyways, have fun living by design......Cheers!!
